Contact: DJ Stephens at (614) 409-2979 or Deej322@hotmail.com

Hi, my name is DaBeau I am looking for a forever home I have gone through training at Alkire Kennel & Training and the trainer, Greg Estep, will work with my new owner. Type: Staffordshire Terrior (Pit Bull Family) Age: 3 years (DOB - March 2006) Weight: 65 lbs (approx.) Shots: Up to date Neutered: Yes I need someone who has time and patience to work with me for socialization with other dogs and humans. I also need someone who knows my breed. I love attention and sometimes think that I am a lap dog. I love to chase balls, and have my belly rubbed. A farm, out in the country or a big fenced in yard would be ideal for me.

 Bailey ~ Male ab/Beagle/Boarder Collie/Terrier Mix
Approximate Birth Date: January 2006
Contact: Ruth 614-268-6996 raven6663@prodigy.net

Bailey is 3 yrs old (will be 4 in Jan 2010). He is neutered and up to date on all shots through next fall (including rabies). I have had him for 1 and 1/2 years after adopting him through craigslist from an abusive family.

He has come a long way, but still does not get along well with other dogs (I have 3 female dogs also). He is dominant and sometimes almost aggressive with them. He probably doesn't even realize he's a bully. He has to win the tug rope, and if he doesn't, will bite at the other dogs to get it.

He has showed absolutely no aggression toward humans, just my other dogs and I do not wish for things to escalate nor for anyone to have to be locked up and take turns coming out in the house.

He's a 69 lb lap doggie that loves to get attention, likes to be lazy...but needs to be encouraged to exercise & lose weight as he's at least 10lbs over. He is crate & potty trained.

Bailey is not an off leash dog and requires a leash when going out, or a backyard that is has a well maintained fence as his recall command suffers greatly. He does think that he's supposed to eat 24/7 and will request food NUMEROUS times throughout the day/night. When you feed him, he has been trained to lay down and wait until he's told he can 'get it'. The only toy I've ever got him to play with is a tug rope/knot, and a flashing ball briefly. He will chew the rope until he has eaten it all :-) He will come with his leash, collar and rabies tag. I'm requesting $125 adoption fee (will negotiate for the right person). I prefer you come visit him at my home, then he visits yours and I would like to check your vet reference prior to the adoption. If you do not have a preferred vet, then 3 personal references will do.

Belle
Belle

Belle ~ Female American Staffordshire Terrier/Lab Mix
Approximate Birth Date: January 2009
Contact: Kelly at JamesDeanBullyBreedRescue@gmail.com

Belle is about 1.5 years old and was picked up as a stray wandering the streets of Central Ohio. Found ads were posted at the pound and on several missing pet sites and no one has claimed her. Belle is literally THE PERFECT DOG. She is calm yet playful, sweet, funny, well behaved, gregarious (reminds me of a lab's personality) house trained, crate trained, knows sit, shake, down, come, roll over, etc. She loves other dogs, doesn't eat the cats, loves to cuddle with you and is just an all around really really nice dog.

She would be great with anyone and anything. She is spayed, vaccinated, de-wormed, hw tested (negative) and microchipped. She's carrying a few extra pounds (aren't we all?) and is on a diet to help her slim down for the summer season. Belle's adoption fee is $75. Even though she is a mixed breed she must still be adopted under the same bully restrictions and guidelines. Trust me, you cannot go wrong adopting her. She is PERFECT. Belle~PERFECT DOG! is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

Eva ~ Female American Staffordshire/Pit Bull Terrier
Approximate Birth Date: August 2009
Contact: Kelly at JamesDeanBullyBreedRescue@gmail.com

Sweet, beautiful, loving Eva, what a girl!!! Eva was rescued when some Good Sams found her in an abandoned house and brought her to a vet clinic. She was very ill and unfortunately tested positive for parvo. She is lucky one of our fosters works at this vet clinic and agreed to take and treat her. Parvo can be very expensive to treat, which is why it's important to always vaccinate your new puppy! She is now in foster care and has recovered from her illness. She is also spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed.

She is GREAT with her foster dog siblings and is good with the cats, though she wouldn't mind chasing them for fun if she were allowed to. She is doing really well with her house training and is crate trained. She is estimated to be about 6 months old and only weighs 24lbs! The pictures do not do her justice, she is an incredibly beautiful girl. Her adoption fee is $175 and helps cover some of her medical expenses. Adopters must abide by all State and city laws and must provide proof of the necessary insurance before adopting. Please email us for an application.

Mandy ~ Female Pit Bull Terrier
Approximate Birth Date: June 2008
Contact: Christine: CRAMSEY1@columbus.rr.com or 614-268-6808

Mandy is in foster care for the Gallia County Animal Shelter and is awaiting a rescue commitment from a qualified rescue or an offer of permanent adoption. Pit bulls are difficult to place in the Gallipolis area, so she is seeking placement with a rescue in an area that can offer her a permanent home.

Mandy is about 2-3 years old; she was dumped in the shelter after having a litter of puppies. She is a small American Staffordshire terrier; she is the size of a 15” beagle, and she weighs about 30 lbs. She is sweet, personable, friendly and would make an ideal family pet. She gets along well with other pets (dogs and cats) and she likes children and adults.

She was spayed on 6/17/2010 and received rabies and distemper vaccinations, and a heartworm test. Her pull fee and vetting is sponsored by her foster mom to a qualified rescue; an adoptive parent will be requested to reimburse $50 toward the cost of vetting Mandy, so the funds can be used to vet the next needy shelter animal. The foster mom can be reached by e-mailing CRAMSEY1@columbus.rr.com or by calling 614-268-6808 to arrange a meeting with Mandy.
