Each year PetPromise rescues and provides food and medical care to hundreds of homeless, unwanted, and abused dogs and cats. For most of these animals, PetPromise is thier last hope. Your entry fee and pledges will help give homeless pets a second chance.





What is PetPromise?



PetPromise is dedicated to creating a world
and a time where there are no more homeless pets through education, rescue, sterilization,
and adoption.

Each year 12 million animals are euthanized in
the United States. That is 1 million a month
1,388 animals an hour ... PetPromise is working tirelessly to decrease this statistic.

Schedule of Events


 8:00 am

Registration begins- East side of Nationwide Arena with breakfast snacks, entertainment, doggy pools and treats, vendor's booths, animal welfare group booths, music, and more!

 9:15 am Opening Ceremonies with Andrea Cambern and PetPromise Board Members

 9:30 am Race Begins on Nationwide Blvd.--South side of Nationwide Arena--5K Run & Walk

 10:00 - 12:00 am Celebration Festival with Music by Lt. Dan's New Legs, Raffle Prizes, ice cream, food, water, face painters, vendor's booths with items for sale, animal welfare and rescue organizations with information, free goodies for dogs and more!

Your pledges will save the lives of homeless dogs and cats that need our help. Help us change the world for their sake. Round up pledges from friends, family members, co-workers, and businesses.


Directions
Downtown Columbus to High Street and Nationwide Blvd. Festivities and registration will take place in the open Plaza on the East side of the nationwide Arena.



Parking
Parking is available in the parking garage located on Nationwide Blvd. for $3 (bring exact change as there are no attendants on Saturdays) or at various lots and on-street metered parking throughout the Arena District.

What is the Rescue Run?

The PetPromise Rescue Run is a 5K run/walk and festival promoting awareness of the pet overpopulation problem and supporting efforts to change the future for all homeless pets through education, rescue, sterilization, and adoption.

The walk/run will be held on Saturday, May 28, RAIN OR SHINE in the Arena District in Downtown Columbus (at the East end of the Nationwide Arena).

The festivities start at 8:00 am...and continue after all of the walkers and runners have finished. Be sure to come early and stick around after the race to enjoy all of the festivities including live music from Lt. Dan's new Legs,vendors' booths with free animal products and items for sale, magicians, face painting, food, drinks, animal welfare organizations, pools for the dogs, raffle prizes, and more!

All walkers, runners, kids, families, teams, and friendly dogs are invited to join in the fun!

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the walk/run starts promply 9:30 a.m. The 5K run/walk will take place through the streets of downtown Columbus.
