PetPromise believes that we can create a world where there are no more homeless pets. For that reason we focus our efforts on programs that will help to change the future for all companion animals.

 PROJECT SPAY & NEUTER
In coordination with participating Central-Ohio veterinarians, PetPromise provides low-cost or free spay/neuter services to pet owners/cartakers needing financial assistance. This program has resulted in the altering of hundreds of pets and homeless cats and dogs that may have otherwise contribute to the enormous pet over-population problem. Support Project Spay/Neuter!

Dog & Cat Rescue & Adoption Program
Through our Dog and Cat Rescue & Adoption Programs, PetPromise rescues stray animals from the streets and from animal shelters where they are on death row and often minutes away from euthanasia. Through these programs we provide foster care, medical care, and rehabilitation to once homeless, neglected, or abused dogs and cats as well as adoption services so that these pets may find loving permanant homes.

 CITY KITTY PROGRAM
In many cities, feral cats proliferate unabated. Since 2002, PetPromise has been working with feral cat caregivers to control the feral cat population, provide some medical care, keep the cats adequately fed and--when possible--adopt them into loving homes.

Through our City Kitty Program, PetPromise provides, vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery for feral cats, to help control the feral cat population in Central Ohio. Additionally, PetPromise offers the use of its humane traps as well as guidance and support in the humane trapping of and post surgical care of altered feral cats and kittens. PetPromise volunteers also provide expert advice and assistance to novice caregivers in their guardianship of feral cats in their neighborhoods. Support our City Kitty Program!

EMERGENCY MEDICAL FUND
The Emergency Medical Fund is designated for injured or otherwise incapacitated homeless animals that we rescue who require expensive treatments to stay alive or achieve or maintain a good quality of life.  Treatments might include surgery to remove a blind eye or leg damaged beyond repair. The Emergency Medical Fund save the lives of homeless pets requiring emergency medical treatment.

Help us continue to provide medical care to pets who need emergency help right away by supporting our Emergency Medical Fund!

EDUCATION
Informative and thought-provoking programs are offered for grades preschool through senior high, covering topics from basic pet care to complex ethical and moral issues. Pets are often taken along on these presentations to give students firsthand knowledge of the special needs and characteristics of companion animals.

A second, and equally important, function of PetPromise's Education Program is its Pet-Facilitated Therapy visits. This involves bringing pets to hospitals, nursing homes, and other facilities for individuals in need of the special benefits that interaction with animals brings.

If you are interested in having a school presentation, or you would like a pet therapy visit to your facility, please contact PetPromise at 614.PET.2149, for more information.

ANGELS FOR ANIMALS — This program is for animals that are difficult to adopt due to medical conditions, age or other factors. However, PetPromise recognizes that all animals deserve a chance to live out the life that they were given in a place where they will be loved and cared for despite their handicaps. The Angels for Animals Program ensures that these "Special Pets" will receive all of the medical care that they need to live out their lives happily. This program allows people who want to help PetPromise help a special needs pet through a sponsorship program.

Meet some of PetPromise's Special Needs pets and become an ANGEL FOR ANIMALS or make a donation to the Spirit Fund to help save the life of a FeLV+ or FIV+ kitty!.

OPERATION FILL-A-BOWL
Through Operation Fill-A-Bowl, PetPromise provides, free of charge, cat and dog food to pet owners who need assistance and to the caretakers of feral cat populations. Support Operation Fill-A-Bowl and help people provide food to pets who otherwise may go hungry!

SPAY/NEUTER PROMISE — PetPromise believes strongly in spaying and neutering, and to stand behind that commitment, each and every pet adopted through PetPromise is altered prior to adoption.

LIFETIME CARE PROGRAM — The PetPromise Lifetime Care Program will help ensure that your pet is in safe and loving environment after you are gone. When you name PetPromise as a beneficiary of your estate, and enroll your pets in the Lifetime Care Program, PetPromise will ensure that your pets are safe and placed in loving permanent homes, in the comfort of long-term foster care, or safe in our sanctuary for the rest of their natural lives.
